Comparison methodology

The complication insurance comparison was prepared by Gehling Consulting on the basis of the general terms and conditions (AVB) of the respective providers, commissioned by quadmed AG.

Gehling Consulting (actuaries, actuarial consulting), Kaarst, Germany.

Thomas Gehling is an independent actuary and a member of the German Actuarial Association (DAV). Until 2017 he was senior actuary in product management and client relations at a leading life reinsurer. Through Gehling Consulting he produces independent actuarial analyses and policy comparisons.

The assessment was made exclusively on technical criteria. Methodology and weighting are disclosed in the detailed comparison. The comparison covers the policies offered on the German market as at the stated data date, irrespective of whether a business relationship with the provider exists.
