Privacy Policy
This is a translation for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version of this privacy policy prevails.
In short
This website sets no cookies, embeds no third-party services and uses no tracking or analytics tools. There is no user profiling, no reach measurement and no transfer of data to advertising networks. Fonts are served from our own server, not from Google or any other third party.
Personal data is therefore processed in only two situations: in the server's technical log files and, if you actively choose to subscribe, when you sign up for the newsletter.

2. Hosting
This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in a data centre within the European Union.
The host processes the data arising when the website is accessed exclusively on our behalf and according to our instructions, on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically secure and reliable operation of this website.
3. Server log files
Each time a page is accessed, the server automatically records data transmitted by your browser:
- the shortened IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- the address requested and the volume of data transferred
- the HTTP status code of the response
- the previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted
- browser type and operating system
This data is not merged with other data sources and serves solely to ensure secure operation, to diagnose faults and to defend against attacks. It is not evaluated for marketing or analytics purposes.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technical security and functionality of the website. Log data is deleted after seven days at the latest, unless it is required for longer to investigate a specific security incident.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies.
The cookie notice shown on your first visit stores your decision in your browser's local storage (localStorage). All that is stored is the information that the notice has been acknowledged. This entry remains on your device, is never transmitted to our server and contains no personal data. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
5. Fonts
The fonts used are delivered from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider is established when the website is accessed, and no data is transmitted to third parties in this context.
6. Newsletter
If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we require your email address. Any further details are voluntary.
Registration uses the double opt-in procedure: after you enter your address, you receive an email asking you to confirm. You will only receive the newsletter after this confirmation. To document proper registration, we log the time of sign-up and of confirmation.
We use your data solely to send the newsletter. It is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw it at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or by writing to info@operix.ch. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected. After unsubscribing, your data is deleted unless it must be retained to evidence the earlier consent.
We manage the newsletter using self-hosted software on the same server that hosts this website (see section 2). Your address does not leave that server. No email marketing provider is involved that could use your data for its own purposes or enrich it with data from other sources.
7. Links to third-party websites
This website links to external offerings, in particular to the websites of the advertising partners labelled as such, to the websites of the insurers compared, and to third-party specialist information.
Such a link is only followed when you click it; simply visiting our pages does not establish any automatic connection to these providers. As soon as you follow a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no influence over its content or its data processing.
8. Recipients and transfers to third countries
We pass personal data only to the processors named above. It is not disclosed for any other purpose.
The controller is a company established in Switzerland. An adequacy decision of the European Commission is in place for Switzerland, recognising a level of data protection equivalent to that of European law.
9. Your rights
You have the right at any time to
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

Irrespective of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is that of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
10. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place. The ratings in the insurance comparison are based on a technical review of the policy terms, not on any processing of your personal data.
11. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this policy whenever the technical implementation of the website or the legal requirements change. The version published here is the applicable one.
